From Freiburg to Liverpool: Our Class Trip
Basel Airport, we flew to Manchester and reached our hotel in Liverpool late at night.
Even though we were tired, we explored the city center and experienced its lively
nightlife.
The next day began with a traditional English breakfast followed by a guided city tour. We
learned about Liverpool’s history, its harbor, and the importance of The Beatles.
Afterwards, we explored the city on our own and tried local food like fish and chips.
On Tuesday, we visited the Queensway Tunnel under the River Mersey, where we got
interesting technical insights. Later, some of us went to a museum, while others
prepared for the evening activities. The class split up: one group traveled to Manchester
to watch a football match, while the other enjoyed indoor karting. The day ended with a
relaxed game of billiards.
Another highlight was the visit to Anfield Stadium, which impressed everyone with its
size. We also visited the World Museum and the Central Library before enjoying dinner
together at a Brazilian restaurant.
On Thursday, we took a trip to North Wales. After traveling to Conwy, we visited the
famous castle and explored the small old town. A spontaneous hike turned into a longer
adventure, but rewarded us with amazing views of the sea and countryside. In the
evening, we visited the historic city of Chester.

On our last day, we bought some souvenirs and enjoyed a final meal before heading
back to Germany. The trip was a great mix of culture, fun, and unforgettable experiences.
